SOLOS

After a five-year gap since his last release and a prolonged creative hiatus, Andreas Arnold returns with SOLOS, his first full-length solo album, arriving in Spring 2027.

While some pieces feature nothing more than solo guitar, others incorporate live looping in an organic and inventive way, with layers of sound weaving in and out of compositions and improvisations. Flamenco guitar is at the heart of the album, both in the instrument itself and in Arnold’s use of its characteristic techniques. Having immersed himself deeply in the flamenco tradition, Arnold draws on its rich vocabulary, with some pieces rooted in traditional forms. Yet SOLOS reaches far beyond the earthy sounds of Andalucía, moving fluidly into atmospheric soundscapes and fiery, free-flowing improvisations.
